On August 31st, 2011, Stellar made their debut with the release of the “Rocket Girl” music video. Adopting a cyber concept, they present futuristic voices in their songs. Stellar also turn into secret agents with a mission to save their boss, Shinhwa’s Eric. By relying on laser shots, the girls won’t give up until they get Shinhwa’s Eric. Stellar also present revolutionary dance through their songs. But, unfortunately, it hadn’t even been a day since they released the music video, Stellar had gotten into trouble with the KBS station for being too sexually suggestive.
On March 2nd, 2012, Stellar released their second music video with the title “UFO”. Unlike the title song, “UFO” has a music video concept that is cute but sexy at the same time. In this era, Stella came up with a girly and feminine outfit with high socks and wore an outfit like a school uniform that had been designed more casual. In the “UFO” music video, Stellar members can be seen performing energetic dance moves, and the appearance of a male model who acts as an alien in the music video then becomes the lover of one of the Stellar members.
On July 11th, 2013, Stellar released their third music video with the title “Study” (Hangul: 공부 하세요). In the music video, the members are seen acting out a scene like they are studying, just like the one given in the title song. However, there is a slight difference in the outfit they wear from the overall song concept. Stellar members are given outfits by their stylists with minimal coverage, showing the members’ upper bodies as well as their long legs. Stellar started their comeback by releasing the music video for “Mask” on August 21st, 2014. The girl group with 4 members who were active at that time continued their comeback with the concept of 19+. With their provocative choreography, they were sure to attract attention once again. Stellar mix cute K-Pop elements with their sexy image. The result is sweet and not cheap at all. They use a cute setting and even have a monkey character that entertains them. Lots of cute dolls are used as reinforcement for the cute element in the “Fool” music video. Their outfit is casual but still highlights the sexiness of Stellar members. The girl group, which debuted in 2011, successfully displayed a provocative side that was highlighted in their comeback in the “Vibrato” music video. On July 18th, 2016, Stellar released a music video titled “Crying”. Meanwhile, in the middle of the shooting progress of the “Crying” music video, Stellar members were involved in an accident. Minhee who was driving a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon hit something hard on the streets of Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. But, fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
Stellar released a music video with a song titled “Archangels of the Sephiroth” on June 27th, 2017. Stellar’s comeback this time was so special because they had an additional member named Sooyoung.
