The four events are the Billboard Music Awards (BBMA), the AMA (American Music Awards), the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Grammys. Not only that, but ARMYs are also proud to say that BTS are the first K-Pop artist to have ever appeared at the UN General Assembly. In response to this statement, BTS fans protested that Coachella was indeed big; however, the event was not as big as their group’s concert which was attended by tens of thousands of fans in one night just to watch BTS.
BTS Have Paved the Way Beyond Performing at Coachella
Jackson Wang performed at the 2022 Coachella Festival as part of Head in the Clouds 88rising. Apart from Jackson, others who also performed were NIKI and Rich Brian. On that occasion, Jackson Wang was also outspoken about K-Pop globally, to BTS. He admitted that he was proud to see BTS’ journey to date. “It’s an honor. RM, the leader of BTS, the fact that we grew together, it’s an honor,” Jackson said. He also believes that K-Pop will continue to survive in the global music industry for a long time. He believes that even though he is aware that everything is always changing. “People in the West know about the East, and vice versa. There are still many layers that people don’t know about.
